The heat is on and everyone knows by that that I’m swimsuit obsessed. I live in the tropics where it’s pretty much hot all year round but regardless there’s this hyped up feeling when it comes on to summer, things I haven’t gotten a chance to do at the beginning of the year, I most certainly make time for them in the summer.
Last weekend we celebrated my friends birthday and so she wanted to celebrate it at the beach in St. Elizabeth. A group of us went and stayed over (VLOG coming soon) however I decided to wear this Paradise Lost Grapic One Piece swimwear with maps all over it. This cute little number I bought from Forever21 about 5-6 months ago. Sadly this item is no longer available on the website. Of course I paired this with a ripped shorts I’ve had for almost a decade, this gorgeous hat, some accessories and boom! I was ready to shine. It hugs every curve of my body, the material is so comfortable. This will probably be my uniform this summer, I don’t feel like enough people has seen me wearing it yet, lol I’m obsessed. ☺️
Sometimes I feel like cutting my hair all off, other times I feel like growing it out. Right now I’m in one of those grow it out moods. It’s a challenge at times because I am very indecisive when it comes on to what I’ll do to my hair next .
Last couple of weeks I’ve been doing all kinds of protective styles, from wigs to braids and then wigs to braids again. I decided to get box braids last weekend and I’m totally feeling it. It’s been a while since I’ve done them so I was pretty excited about the turn out. Usually I would go for bigger box braids but this time I went really smaller than the usual, after all; I would like it to last more than the average 2 weeks.
This summer has been really really hot and braids are in and poppin’. Those of you who follow me on social media know I have been rocking braids for about 2 weeks now. Oh the joy I felt when I just got them. Braids has been running the show for sometime now and I decided to get these really cool slick back cornrows, I feel super badass rocking them.
They didn’t take long to install at all, a little under two (2) hours and I was finished. If you know me, you know I hate getting my hair done for long hours, so these suited me well.
Let me know how you feel about braids in the comment section below
I can’t lie, I’m a makeup junkie I clearly love the art way too much and I absolutely love a stunner Red lip. This lippie I’m wearing is “Frisky” from the LA Girl matte pigment gloss line. I have been having all kinds of thoughts. I am not a makeup artist or anything like that. I simply learned to do my own makeup by practicing and watching numerous amount of youtube videos. Lately I’ve been thinking about getting certified in makeup artistry. Just another thing to add to my name.
My beliefs are that if you love something, go for it, be your best and just be great at it. I’ve grown so much over the years and I just embracing every bit of. This high bun turned out to be awesome and everyone kept complimenting on how great it looks. I’ve had a few requests on it so I will probably do a youtube video and let you all see how I achieved it, so look out for that. I could also do a youtube makeup video on this look. Let me know if you would like to see that. Don’t forget to subscribe to my youtube channel and keep up with me. Subscribe here
How do you like this look, tell me. I’m all over social media. come say hi. 🙂
Hello Honey Bunchies of Oats with almonds and all those goodness ! (lol )
Over the weekend, I saw a picture popped up on my Facebook page. That memory thing they do lately, where they show you what you posted on Facebook on this day last year. That inspired me to do a look back on my hair growth journey. Where I was to where I am now. I did the big chop on the 25th July 2014 and from there on I never turned back. I’ve tried to maintain my natural hair as best as possible because I really want healthy full hair and I intend on achieving such.
Take a look at my hair journey so far below….
